I've done nothing this weekend. She's still under cover in the drive lol. Have to take her out next weekend :-)

cut the hole in the carpet for the gear lever, fitted gear lever, fitted the clutch cable, choke cable, fan, filled it up with coolant and started it up to find that the radiator leaks. could be worse!

Showed Harwin around the project an got a new old style petrol can from the local car boot sale for £2 welded up the pin hole in bottom an got some fresh paint on it ready to hit it with retro signwriting :-)

Finally got the damage repaired from a battery explosion years ago! - Will now be proud to pop the bonnet at shows & meets 8)

Well after being fed up with my car after paying someone to spray it and they left it out in the rain in primer then on top off that done such a bad job with the paint job im on it again engine gearbox front legs all the steering out paint striper on the case today,been out got compresser welder and loads off tools want done right u got to do it yourself simple as.

Opened the Mk'3 bonnet! not an easy prospect at first with a snapped release cable! I was a bit miffed cos it had to stay shut at the summer show  :-(  but easy enough to open with a bit of 6mm rod and a hammer! new cable on the way from Old parts store....

Fitted Gaz refurbed front struts, along with Louts springs..... Cortina now sits lower, handles better, and looks wicked.....

I'm a very happy chappie......
