Admin Vista Posted July 1, 2013 Author Admin Report Posted July 1, 2013 Just searching through all the classic Fords on eBay. Look at the lotus section and there are a couple of Cortinas, I'd have thought they'd have got more visibility in the Ford Section to be honest...........................and as for the Mk1 Granada estate listed in the datsun section http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-GRANADA-MK1-ESTATE-IN-BLACK-/190863854637?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2c705f4c2d Go on, who's brave enough to take on this mk2 Lotus Cortina, just sweep it into the back of your trailer and off you go! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Barn-Find-Lotus-Twincam-Ford-Cortina-Mk2-Series-1-1968-Restoration-Project-/271230064534?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3f26925796
SmokeEm Posted July 1, 2013 Report Posted July 1, 2013 Fooking hell. I've never even seen a mk1 granny estate before lol..
Admin Vista Posted July 1, 2013 Author Admin Report Posted July 1, 2013 In the late 80s when I was doing my engineering apprenticeship there was a bloke on the same course bought one. He was a bit of an oddball and talked about this car he was off to buy (without telling us what it was) like he was going to be coming back with a Castella turbo GTI fanny magnet and was going to be beating the girls off with a shitty stick. When he arrived back driving a Tawney Brown mk1 Granada Estate hearse like thing that was the size of a small cross channel ferry, we all laughed our cocks off at him! To be fair though he fair transformed it with a V8 install and a bit of lowering and we used to head out on the pics for nights out all over the South Coast within a couple of hours drive of Portsmouth. He didn't drink as I recall so as long as fuel went in his car and McGrub in his stomach he seemed happy to be duty driver. He moved on to Rover SD1s after that though. 1
