So what are you guys using? I'm going to change mine on my mk2 escort. Any suggestions or good/bad reviews or are they much of a muchness? I'm keeping the single leaf springs with 2inch lowering blocks, its for road use only.

Was always Bilstein back in the day or Spax but it seems Gaz are the brand of choice these days?

I've used Bilsteins, Spax and Leda in the past and currently have Bilsteins on the mk1 and Alfa and Gaz Gold coilovers on the van. I can't say that I can tell the difference between them all but that's probably because I'm Mr Average in terms of my driving ability

I think it depends which set you buy. Mine are fully height, bump and rebound adjustable with about 20 - 25 clicks on the bump/rebound adjuster

Mike get yourself some gaz golds its what I got on the mex the difference between soft and hard is unreal well worth the money.

i have a BNIB Gabriel Heavy Duty (non adjustable ) Gas shocks that i have no need of if your interested.

Gaz shocks on the back of me Van, they were a fair bit cheaper than others.  (For standard MK2 van you need shocks for MK1 escort with eyelet mounts on both ends to fit, and even then, mine need slight modification to geet them on)

I have GAZ all around my MK2 Cortina....

No issues at all, and good customer service too.
