yeah I think standard mk1s were the smallest,mexico and rs type had slightly wider arches ,and they even did what was called a bigwing shell,whih like its name meant all the arches were extended ie rally cars ,dave

They are 100mm wider than normal all round made from steel

Those are bigger than the bubble arches you're referring to. As I recall the OP started with standard bubble arches but let extra metal in to them to make then even wider.

Those are bigger than the bubble arches you're referring to. As I recall the OP started with standard bubble arches but let extra metal in to them to make then even wider.

Now that the car has been well tested over the summer months with no major hic-ups, it was always my intention to upgrade the engine to Supercharged over the winter months, yet another delve into the unknown. For the techy minded: using a blower from a Merc SLK230, using a by-pass system from a Mini Cooper, also going to try water/methanol injection to keep the charge temp down on WOT as I have no room for an ugly inter-cooler system

Well that's it all done also road tested today and it's simply stunning, up and till now with the rear axle configuration I have on this car I thought I had a lot of grip, but now it's a handful just to keep it in a straight line

Saw this car today at kielder in Northumberland, great car, sounds amazing, and the seats inside were lovely and comfortable, nice bloke to chat too aswell.
