105Speed Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 Weller Wheels DEFINITELY DO NOT band wheels. I've had a few meetings with Les Weller in recent years regarding a project we were working on and the subject of banding wheels came up. Basically thats how he started way back in the day banding Cortina wheels for racing but he did say it was now illegal. After a discussion with Morely, he said there is nothing in the MOT testers handbook regarding Banded Wheels.. But I guess for the definitive answer, ring an insurance company and see what their view is... I've always been led to believe it was illegal to use a Banded Wheel on the road.

105Speed Posted February 15, 2007 Report Posted February 15, 2007 The worst thing is if you badly injure or heaven forbid kill someone... If you insurance is invalidated at that point, thats when your life is over.
