I can't stand traders who sell through ebay and then add VAT onto the auction price afterwards.

 

IMHO traders should be forced to sell at fixed prices, I've no problem with tom dick or harry needing to make as much as he can from left over resto bits etc. But there are plenty of traders who list lest desirable stock at fixed buy it now prices because they don't want to give it way cheaply, but are happy to benefit from bidding frenzies for more desirable stuff AND have the cheek to add VAT on afterwards!

 

I never buy from eBay traders, I don't care how much I want the part, I'd rather my money went to someone who was selling extra parts he had and needed the cash towards funding his own resto.

In the land where market forces reign - then it's a case of supply and demand. If a part on ebay is the only place you can get something to 'finish' your car then stump up it is. Been there, done and will probably do it again.

 

The guy who created ebay knew that full well - what a clever bloke! I reckon he'd have still made his millions if Old Skool Ford owners were the sole users of ebay!
