grantandlianne Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 whats your thoughts on this one guys? I think its a yes a nice sublte rs spoiler is a finishing touch
over_head_cam Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 Personally I'm not a fan of spoilers on Escorts at all, but it's you car mate and your choice
Admin Vista Posted September 10, 2014 Admin Report Posted September 10, 2014 I don't like them on mk1's (Chin or boot spoilers) but do like the RS boot spoiler on a Mk2 so it's a yes from me
morcheen Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 they need all the help they can get so yes for the mk2 1
mk2xflow Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 yes but im using a grp4 alloy one on a mk2
mk2 mike Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 I used to be a spoiler kinda guy but now I'm preferring the cleaner no spoiler look. Hope that helps. Lol
dalmarshall Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 I prefer a mk2 with a front spoiler. Rear end can look good with or without. Without if you're going for the clean smooth look.............. Actually I'd go for without on a 4 door
grantandlianne Posted September 11, 2014 Author Report Posted September 11, 2014 ive got a mex front spoiler already...im a yes anyeway but just wondered was the general view was
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted September 14, 2014 Moderator Report Posted September 14, 2014 I think that other factors on the cars can influence the look that can sway you one way or the other with regards to rear spoilers. Here in Australia since our RS2000 and Rally Packs (Mexico Equivalents) come in both 2 and 4 doors the idea that rear spoilers only suit a 2 door car is simply untrue. That said there are a couple of factors which I think would influence my choice. I dont like real spoliers on their own I think they look better when accompanied with the matching Mexico front spoiler. Also for some reason I dont think a square headlight Mk2 look that good with spoilers. Some of the Ghias Ive seen on these pages look stunning without any spoilers at all. But a round headlight car with front and rear spoilers looks really nice. There are so few clean orginal non sporting models left on the road it seems as everyone only saved the sporting models and it seems most of those non sporting moodels have spoilers to make them seem sportier LOL so I think a spoilerless GL car has a unquie character where once they may have seemed common in its day is now something that stands out as different. 1
