aaron1980 Posted November 23, 2014 Report Posted November 23, 2014 I've just seen this on ebay item number 171550641874 It's says it is a Mexico with v5? The same car was on there 200 miles away a week or so ago saying it was a replica with tax exempt v5? Number 261653496327 Seems a little odd
iandq Posted November 23, 2014 Report Posted November 23, 2014 clearly not a mexico! either someone who already owned a mexico v5 bought it, or the seller bought a mexico v5 and re listed it at twice the price. either way i would give it a wide berth and find a genuine car. the value of these cars nowadays is encouraging all sorts of unethical activity, and in my opinion the real enthusiast should stay away. cheers, ian.
Admin Vista Posted November 23, 2014 Admin Report Posted November 23, 2014 The first listing I read as a standard shell that someone is selling with a Mexico v5. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171550641874?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D171550641874%26_rdc%3D1 The second listing is probably the shell with its original v5 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MK1-ESCORT-SHELL-RACE-RALLY-AVO-MEXICO-REPLICA-RS2000-BDA-/261653496327?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D261653496327%26_rdc%3D1&nma=true&si=Chtv4mMZw%252BxPWZwvV1Rmxz04DgQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 My assessment? Second seller has bought from first seller and added a Mexico V5 in an attempt to double his money quickly. Either way, it isn't a Mexico. 1
