They have crept up to £95 now so hopefully by lunch tomorrow they will have reached their proper value.

What is a "Proper Value"?

 

Incidentally what distinguishes "real" RS alloys from capri laser type?

You can tell by looking at them they're RS not Capri. The edges of the spokes are thinner.

 

Escort mk2. (Flat seat on the nuts)

 

 

Capri: (tapered seat on the nuts)

 

Then there's Escort mk1 And Fiesta alloys that look slightly different too.

 

Failing that there's a really good guide on this site that tells you what's what.

as to the nuts, genuine RS alloys take nuts that hold the wheel in place by virtue of their OD matching the ID of the wheel bolt hole and use a flat washer against the face of the wheel, like these

 

 

Laser wheels on the other hand use Taper nuts like these
