Top Gear Christmas special Mustang

I never usually watch top gear but it caught my eye when i saw the green mach 1 on this years christmas special! It's such a shame that they basically killed it and had to abandon it! Looked like a tidy looking motor before they got there hands on it! Always had a thing for the mach 1! I couldn't give a monkey about the Porsche or the lotus haha! Each to there own

Started to watch this but actually turned it of. Seen it all before, driving apparently nice cars in totally unsuitable places and breaking them,  boring now.

P---es me off seeing cars like the lotus and mustang, plus all the others they've used in the passed being totally wrecked.

I think the mods made to the Porsche and Mustang were a bit of a waste but I can't say I'll lose much sleep over any of those cars, none of them were especially valuable, desirable or rare. Except maybe the Lotus, all were made in fairly large numbers and won't be in short supply because these three have been sacrificed in the name of Entertainment. Think how many 69 Chargers have been lost to various incarnations of Dukes of Hazzard? You can still get them though.

 

I enjoyed the show for precisely what it was, three middle aged jack the lads having fun in some cars against a stunning back drop. I don't care that it's scripted or that in reality there's a large technical support team on stand by.

 

If you don't like it, it's simple, don't watch it.

loved every minuet of it by far one of the best things on the tv over crimbo but that's just my opinion lol

but this episode was a little boring, something missing. But still like above... better than the other crap on tv over xmas

There was probably a local cellphone network available but they were talking about Sat phones. The satellites for these are in Geo-Stationary orbit and may not give coverage at extreme South and North latitudes.

the whole show is cleverly scripted and deliberately antagonistic because controversy pulls in the viewers,but at the end of the day I think its all highly entertaining fun with three genuine petrolheads having a really good laugh with cars.
