I keep forgetting to take a new picture of the engine bay, It is a bit different now, I have fitted a nicer washer bottle away from the hot side an oil catch can and neatened things up.

Ah ok, Done

Thanks for the kind words guys. The car is far from perfect but it makes a nice driver car and has minimal rust even for an Aussie vehicle.

I have found some Bumperettes for the front which I will be picking up and fitting when I am back home from work in 2 weeks, Also have a few bits a pieces for the engine bay on their way from Burton Power.

After opinions on whether I should have the bumpers and grille/headlight surrounds powdercoated gloss black?

It is quite a modified car so being stock looking isnt really a priority. I can see it in my head as being tasteful but open to opinions.

If it's fashionable in Oz then why not........but I prefer the bright work to be bright myself

TBH I would have no idea whats fashionable.

Something like this but with Bumperettes

Very nice I like the wheels to they suite the car very well, I must say it looks great without the bumper. It might look good with spot lights, not sure if the type on my 1600E would do though, probably Cibie's would look the best.

very nice work what's the pinto engine like with the falcon gearbox

The Pinto and T5 is a great combo. 1st to 4th are very usable gears and 5th I use for highway runs.

I have put a deposit down on a MK1 Escort so it looks like I will have to sell the Cortina unfortunately. I will be swapping the seats, wheels, Carbies and a few other bits and bobs onto the new car before I sell.

Id love to swap the gearboxs But im not sure if I want to cut the MK1 tunnel up.
