S c o o b y Posted February 13, 2015 Author Report Posted February 13, 2015 Lol not sure why it's upside down at the start but you get the idea all British as far as I know .
khanlad Posted February 13, 2015 Report Posted February 13, 2015 Good base to start with mate, just glad that someone else has trouble with pictures!! Hehe, 1
S c o o b y Posted February 14, 2015 Author Report Posted February 14, 2015 Whats the plan for it then scooby? Well I've got the wheels ,chrome strips I'm going to put them on give it a good polish and do the chrome on it then see what it looks like if I don't like it I will have it a different colour , then I'm going to start cleaning underneath get everything painted and tidied up . There's not much welding needed I don't think then start tidying the engine bay up , my friend has a brand new carb in a box for it which I will get I'm goner try to keep it as standard as I can but with a modern sparkle over time though as have a family to look after as well
khanlad Posted February 15, 2015 Report Posted February 15, 2015 Is it covered in underseal and stuff underneath? I had mine on a roll over spit what a dirty job! Looked like a coal miner, got some funny looks walking around sainsburys trying to get dinner on the way back to mum and dads, worth it though looks so much better now, 1

It needs redoing really but I will do it as I'm going along .
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted February 15, 2015 Moderator Report Posted February 15, 2015 Although only meant in reference to joke about the upside down photos there are however several reasons why it couldnt be Australian. Our L's were only ever 2 doors as it was considered a luxury to have extra doors all 4 door models were GL's or higher. It has a metal Euro mirror nicer than ours and every model regardless of an L to RS had full door trims. Nice car though, not that much work compared to others I have seen guys in the UK restore. Great platform that one.

Lol sorry didn't notice you was from Australia yes it's a very solid base with original engine and 85000 hence why the interior is in good condition but it must of spent plenty of time inside cus most had rotted out 20 years ago
