bigbadsquare Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 About to plumb in my carb on my xflow and can't remember how it was. Not sure which is the inlet and the fuel return. Also what are the 2 smaller tubes ????
2512pf Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 there should be an arrow on the bottom of the carb casting with an arrow on ,which ever way the arrow goes determines which way the flow is,from memory the flow is on top return on the bottom ,the other is an advance tube should go to the distributor
2512pf Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 somewhere I have a Haynes manual I will have a look when ive finished work and report back
BigBubba Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 The other 2 tubes will be for water, some carbs had a water feed to stop icing etc.
2512pf Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 sorry cant find the Haynes, yeah the big tubes are water one off inlet manifold and one to heater matrix ?
S c o o b y Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Sorry not very clear it's the best I can get it I don't no if you can read it or not I tried .
katana Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 The other 2 tubes will be for water, some carbs had a water feed to stop icing etc. True - but that one has an auto choke which operated via water temperature. The small / thin pipe low on the body / next to the manifold face should be the vacuum source for distributor. The other one is, I believe, a vacuum operated anti stall device..... well according to my Haynes RS manual it is! - I guess it tee's into the distrubutor vac line? 1
ianb10 Posted February 23, 2015 Report Posted February 23, 2015 Didn't this carb use an 'Anti run on valve' as well?
