Lol i once took a renualt 5 GT Turbo for a test drive , I said to the sales guy its running a bit hot (nearly on the red ) Nah they all do that just give it some so i did ........ Blew it up in Beckenham high street .. Got out and Hailed a Cab !! Shitty french car !
atomic punk Posted September 25, 2006 Report Posted September 25, 2006 1996 vauxhall vectra bigest pice of junk ever made paid 5k for it and then spent 4k trying to keep it on the road what ever could go wrong did final straw drove 2 miles to local B & Q parked up went shopping came out started it oil light stayed on turned it off checked oil full got it towed home turned out the oil pump drive had snaped ( good job I wasnt doing 70 on the motorway ) new oil pump £700 fitted sold it 10 days later for a grand I had a '99 Vauxhall Astra was also a sack of crap - was reliable for about 11 months then the rad popped, then the oil pump went (dumped the contents of the sump on the road...... ) Steam cleaned the engine bay and traded it in for my Focus, got £3k trade in which was £2,999 more than it was worth - that was a good day

Although I've only used her for autotests. Dad drove her on a regular basis while he was fixing the pug. Ah well... 4 weeks and 4 days till my test! woooo
