escort21 Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Got my 195/45/13 dunlops fitted to my 7" superlites today.....apparently they were bloody tight to fit and the bead broke on the last one ....was told there was a place in pottersbar that specialises in fitting them...is this true or the round ones??...had to order a new tyre as well now
flyingbanana Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 breaking the bead is not good news....i used to do them and sometimes i had a right pig of tyres to get on
Dom Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 hope they payed for a new tyre m8 Too right! My dad fits his mates 225/35/18 beemer tyres, now they're pretty damn tight! Do go on eventually though.
MK2 Gaz Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 They are bastardly tight. Breaking the bead completley is pretty hard to do mind, nicking a bit of the rubber off it is the most i've ever managed to feck up. Try and find a place near you that has a Artiglio Master fitting machine. We've got one where i work, they are NEW NEW top of the range shizzle, and make things SOOOO easy, even run flats are a piece of cake. Mounts through the centre of tyre and no levers used at all, nothing touches the rim so no wheel marks/damage...
