You know I know nothing about motorbikes but I think the TT is amazing let's hope its around for many more years to come before some health and safety friends of the earth type idiots stop it

I love my motorbikes and classify myself as having a few screws loose...but these blokes are completely f#@king nuts!!

Amazing ability..

Have you watched the film, Closer to the Edge?

Really interesting insight into the event and also coupled with a bit of the Guy Martin mentality.

I haven't but I shall now.. I like Guy Martin, although his 1st race lasted 1 lap before his engine gave way...

I would imagine a slight twitching from both? I hit a rabbit down the lanes once when i was .........making progress, from the first sight, which way? Shut off or pin it?, bit of a thud, quick wiggle make sure everything is still attached, nailed! Heart in mouth though

I used to crew/drive a 27 ton Foden recovery truck during my time in the military as a Mechanical Engineer.  Me and my oppo used to have a kill chart on the inside of the door.

Started off a little bit innocent, just with road cones, but  then the grinning squaddie came out in us the first time I scudded a sheep. :-D

Haha, just had a flashback chuckle of the time we had to add a Ford Orion to it for my mate. Took me ages to cut it out and stick it on without him catching me...

I dont watch any other motorbike racing except the TT races and i love it .The riders taking part are absolutely mad as far as i am concerned but i admire them. The speed they travel at and the comebacks after massive crashes are beyond my comprehension .They are realy on the edge each time they start the TT races .

TT is breath taking to watch lets hope it's around for a long time there's some top talented riders about an up an coming stars another good film is road it's about the Dunlop family

I have ridden the TT course on Mad Sunday and even though I class myself as a fast rider there were some absolute nutters there, mainly Germans!

Having said that, the actual competitors are as fast as anything I have ever seen and what I love about the TT is that you can get up close with the riders, try that at Motogp.

That's the beauty of it...the closeness of riders and spectators...natural roads, bumps, dips, cambers, walls, pavements, buildings, lamp posts and traffic lights, no margin for error, anyone can win or take a podium..no one can predict anything....

just started riding myself, i admire those guys who can focus through a visor at 200mph. but the feeling of leaning a bike over and getting it right. now i understand........... you just cant see the grin beneath my lid!

I've ridden in excess of 170mph..it's like being in warp speed. Everything is a blur apart from the bit you're heading towards. You have to turn before you're actually at the bend or it's too late..but on a road circuit? No fecking chance..!! Total respect to the boys that do it..
