Messenjah Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 ken m8 go with the darker mattalic grey nd the black stripes dont worry im not gonna do it now (if thts why u changed ure mind lol ) im going with a different look its being photoshopped by one of out in house gods and i think ittl look the nuts ! if u like this lighter grey i wouldnt go with the white wheels i think black with a polished rim would loook alot better and would also tie in better if u were gonna have black and maybe a bit of chrome trim ...
105Nick Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 I wasnt sure at first, that shade of grey makes it look like a dreadnought at first, but I quite like it. The gunmetal that ppl are saying about is on virtually every passat, rover, audi and skoda estate you see on the road so not sure, its a bit boring now and greys date pretty quickly. I mean take an Anglia for instance, if you were to go back to the 60s would you order a new one in Purbeck grey? With all those great two tone pastels on offer? I know I'd have a redwhite one or blue/white one, grey wouldnt cross my mind. Having said that I like the idea of the white wheels they do set it off well, there was an X pack in CF years back with white 7.5s and it looked nice, and the vents are kinda reminiscent of the Zakspeed capris, but they were spaceframed. As said they'll serve no purpose at all, and then you're doing the whole vents/wings/kits that are unnecessary, that we slate and laugh at hatch drivers for. Up to you mate.
walsh253 Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 nice colour, dont like the white wheels im afraid
mk2 stu Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 colour is slightly dirfferent and is mettalic . that's exactly the colour i was thinking mate. reckon it'd look spot-on in that. This colour is obsidian grey, good colour to work with and does look pukka!
105Nick Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 grey is a good colour Yeah but my granddad would have said that and he smoked a pipe No seriously, we're considering doing my brothers cobra similar to elanor from gone in 60 seconds, but on tin tops its everywhere at the moment.
Lotus-Eater Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 Solid (non-metallic) grey can look a bit uninspiring on its own - but with a suitable contrast colour comes alive.
