Hi guys,

When I have my engine rebuilt, the machined face for the inlet and exhaust were cleaned up, now they're going a little rusty due to being exposed.

How do you guys keep these faces looking fresh?

Give them a light scrub with something not too abrasive to lift any surface rust and spray reasonably often with a light oil, WD40 for instance

Cheers Vista.

Your car looked great at NEC by the way. :)

Thanks, you should have stopped and said hello, always got time to chat to people off here.

I would have, we found you late in the day and that stand was really busy, lots of love from the public for the old Fords. Next time :)

Try some ACF50.  This is designed to be sprayed on motorbikes to keep all the polished surfaces rust free. It is pretty damn good and has a bit rust eater in it aswell so will deal with light surface rust on both metal and alloy.  Loads of it listed on EBay.
