Hi all need a bit of help got a 4 speed gearbox for my escort but thrush bearings missing can anybody tell me which one a need ? i have 2 numbers 71BG 700 6JC or 72WO 7A040EA thanks

Would guess that the type of four speed box dictates the choice of thrust bearing, do you know which type of box you have?

Here is the gearbox. I think it might be a type 3. Have circled a part which I'm having problems with getting a thrush bearing to fit.
Any idea what size bearing?

It's a type three box, burtons list a release bearing for it should be 7/8 shaft 20 spline can't find a cross ref for either of your numbers. Hope this helps a bit
