4parajon Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 Me likey lots, what have you polished them with, they've come up really well
mk1matt Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 nice one that must of taken alot of hard work to get them like that
mk1mexico Posted February 22, 2007 Author Report Posted February 22, 2007 Used a fine file to get the main of the kerb scar's out, and painstakingly took the paint of with a sharp blade and some sandpaper. Then painted using a small brush and used Autosol metal polish on the unpainted parts. Its my dads Autosol he swears by it for his mk2 RS wheels
john_3.0s Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 look spot on mate, how did u do them that well? I had a go at some of mine a while back with not that much sucess

flyingbanana Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 i used polishing compounds and mops to get a mirror finish on mine....they do most metals with different compounds
antz Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 i polished mine up on my car using lots of wet n dry then t-cut THEN i used autosol on them to get them to shine! they look mint but you MUST keep on top of them..i didnt they look complete pap now and just need a good polish up again.im too lazy to do it again so im coverting to wide steels

I have been tinking about making a jig up using an old hub and a power drill or something to get them spinning on the bench to clean them but as most things have never gotten around to it
