It'll be like putting on the most comfy shoes you ever had! At least that's what I seem to recall about my last one, in it's on/off the road state.

We like lots of old stuff here, I have an XR4x4 that's an on off project and 3 classic Minis one of which is a mint 14' Limo. But I never stopped hankering after a Ford, hence the XR which the wife cooked and needs a rebuild, although the house is the main focus at the moment.

So that's me, drive an Audi A4 for a daily, well the wife uses it more moving the kids to and from school. I have the dubious honour of breaking an RS2000 in my youth when the chassis rails and spring hangers rotted through (slap)!

Thanks, it's a pleasure to be here. I had a Mk1 1300GT too, that also was scrapped... after 3 toe rags from down south went joy riding, mine was the last car they nicked as they drove it into a lamp post at 80!

I may put up pictures if you're interested.

Yup there are a few things I would have done differently... I'd have kept my Mini Pick up too and the MK1 XR 4x4... I'd also have bought that Sierra Cosworth for £4K when I had the chance!

Anyone know how to decode South African Vin codes?
