john_3.0s Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 looks like a nice straght one too, most scrappys wont sell complete cars anymore (unless you waggle a decent amount of bunce under their noses) but looks like a good'un for stripping
styut Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 That looks like Abbey Car Breakers in Erith to me. I used to go there 20 years ago when you could take your pick from mk1's etc. I remember climbing to the top of a pile of cars there to take some bits out of an old cortina. Don't supose your allowed to climb up the cars nowadays..! They weren't that keen on mk1s back then - they used to crush them pretty quick. I remember a tidy looking black mk1 coming in - we went back the next week to get some bits off it, and they said 'we don't keep crap like that - we've crushed it... '
105Nick Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 The front wing looks pretty mangled so I'd reason its got some pretty hefty frontal damage, but the rest of it looks as tidy as they come, that back panel and quarters look mint and Icould use that roof panel on mine at a later date.
