Sports are one of the rarest mk1s now I believe, looking at the pictures I thought the very early cars had the separate rev counters? I had a Nov 72 sport years back and that had the 6 dial dash, 110 mpg speedo, that one being a 74 n, should be one of the last ones , although I suppose it could be built not registered? Can't for the life of me think of any sport, unique things, and to be honest the car that it is they've probably all gone anyway? Looks a nice enough car in the pictures, me personally , I'd value it as a mk1 with arches, not a sport unless they can prove it is one, not just written on the log book?

My old 73 1300 Sport had the 6 dial dash.

It's got all the correct lettering on the VIN to indicate it being a Sport. Car's a November 73 shell.

Lettering on the VIN doesn't mean much in these days of re-shelling. Looks a nice car either way though so I would just look at it as it's presented, i.e. a nice mk1 2 door.

Maybe you could upgrade for the GT dash from standard. Or people upgraded themselves early on.

So have I and I am still pretty sure the 2 clock dash is only applicable to early variants, not the 71 - 74 models claimed.
