khanlad Posted August 4, 2016 Report Posted August 4, 2016 Cars would normally be parked next to where you camp, 5 or 6 ft away? Don't know about clamping? Would have thought the security would come from the 20 or so of us wanting to do it?

Wanted to do this for 5 years after I did the Lakes Tour in an escort ( long drive up from Plymouth ) felt exactly the same after my first lakes tour back in 07 it was all we talked about on the way back but never got anywhere with it

Chris (Mexican Gerbil) and I worked out a route across Dartmoor that we tried out at the weekend. 75% of it worked well but the remaining 25% needs a rethink as it was too narrow with too few passing places for a long Convoy of classic Fords. Chris has worked out an alternative option which we'll try again in the coming weeks. Venue for camping still to be worked out at this time. Watch this space (thread) for updates. 1
