Best Tyre To Use

Need advice on the best tyre to use on 5.5x13, also where the best place to get them from.

It depends what you're looking for. I am quite happy with the original 175/70/13, some go for 185/60/13 for slightly wider rubber and a lower stance, and then there's 175/50/13. Your car needs a lot of lowering to look right with these and you also need to be prepared for the changes they make to the final drive ratio, i.e. less speed for many more revs in each gear, but with better acceleration (and lower top speed).

175/70/13 will give a better ride quality, 60 and 50 series tyres ruin the ride for me and make them to twitchy.

I had 175 50 13 on standard ride height and did not look good with wheels looking like 12 inch rims. I went for 175 70 and look OK probably would have preferred 175 60

I had Yokohama all round on mine. Recently put Rydanz on the rear to try out a new Quaife ATB Diff. These are good in the dry, but are like riding on beer trays in the wet.

Not recommended.

I got my last tyres online as the local garage I always used said they didn't stock 13" tyres anymore. He gave me a quote but I could easily beat it by ordering online. I run toyo proxes.
