deltamal Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 I'm looking at fitting a 4 branch exhaust manifold to my 2.0 Cortina Mk5 Crusader, Ashley seem to be the only ones available off the shelf, (unless there's a second hand one on the site!) they do a 4-2-1 or a 4-1, what would be the best one to fit? it has a big valve ported head, fast road cam and 38DGAS carb,
Tackleberry Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 Speak to the guys at Ashton Mobile in Smallfield, Surrey...they made mine and fitted it. Top job.
colr6 Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 Have you tried any of the old Ford part suppliers for off mk3 ohc GT
preacherman Posted November 6, 2016 Report Posted November 6, 2016 On my capri the 4-1 was tight fit. the 4 2 1 was easier fit and looked a better job. Some say you get more torque with a 4 1 but road use I would say the digger encephalitis is negligible.
deltamal Posted November 6, 2016 Author Report Posted November 6, 2016 Thanks for the help chaps, I will dig around!
deltamal Posted November 8, 2016 Author Report Posted November 8, 2016 Thanks for the help chaps, I will dig around! Sorted, one of the BSC members had one tucked away in his garage! £50 seems reasonable.....
