buckerz69 Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 Hi all, I'm not really one to post much on forums, but I'm trying to track down my Dad's old car. It's a 1968 Mk1 Lotus Twincam and if it's available I'd be interested in buying it back. The registration number begins with UGY. According to the DVLA it was last MOTed in 2015, so it sounds like it might still be in one piece! Does anyone know of it? I've tried looking for a twincam owners forum but it doesn't look like one exists! (although that is how I came across this forum!). And I've scrolled through loads of google images but haven't spotted it. Any help, tips or info would be very much appreciated!
colr6 Posted December 17, 2016 Report Posted December 17, 2016 Try the RS owners club and ford AVO owners club might get a lead from there.
Admin Vista Posted December 17, 2016 Admin Report Posted December 17, 2016 Have you contacted the Twin Cam registrar from the AVO owners club? Twin cam Escorts are pretty rare cars so if it still exists (and I agree that it looks promising if it was MOT'd last year) it'll likely be on their books. Unlikely he'll give you the Owner's details but he may agree to pass on yours.
buckerz69 Posted December 18, 2016 Author Report Posted December 18, 2016 Thanks for the pointers. I have emailed the AVO owners club and go from there. Much appreciated!!
