colr6 Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 Very nice, can't say I've seen many mk2s with servo brakes though. Is it an export option ?
eeb43 Posted December 22, 2016 Author Report Posted December 22, 2016 its a maltese import and dual circuit servo brakes looks like an escort setup to me
eeb43 Posted December 22, 2016 Author Report Posted December 22, 2016 uk cars have the battery tray that side
colr6 Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 Good thing to have though, dual circuit + servo what's not to like

eeb43 Posted December 22, 2016 Author Report Posted December 22, 2016 got a recon 1300 new pistons etc so may strip that and put the pistons in a 1600 i believe it ups the compression a bit and i should have an old ian walker racing stage 2 head somewhere!!!!!!!
colr6 Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 The last time I saw one of these it was all original low miles and finished in silver fox and the paint was still on it, which was a first. Must admit it was mint and that was going to auction 3 /4 years back and was expected to reach in the region of 15-20k at bonhams. Food for thought on what you do with it.
eeb43 Posted December 22, 2016 Author Report Posted December 22, 2016 bought it intending to use it! mind you ive got an original mod stag that i did all the tinwork on 20 years ago and had painted and its still in the shed in bits! lol
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted December 23, 2016 Moderator Report Posted December 23, 2016 What does a project Mk2 Cortina go for these days? Just a regular 4 door, im guessing estates and 2 doors are worth a fair bit more.
