crapichris Posted January 24, 2017 Report Posted January 24, 2017 Saw the news tonight where the Mayor of London is seriously talking about expanding the Congestion zone for London out to the North and South Circular roads. If he does that then can't see much future for the Ace Cafe or their special events. Apparently only environmentally friendly vehicles going to be allowed inside the zone. Don't think that includes my Capri for starters.
stephens_xpack Posted January 25, 2017 Report Posted January 25, 2017 Think you'll still be allowed in but it will cost ya. Plus is not mostly diesel cars they are trying to crack down on?
aardvark101 Posted January 25, 2017 Report Posted January 25, 2017 Well the govt has been looking to get rid of cars for awhile now, only thing with that is public transport is sh*t ( Southern rail anyone ) The big push now is for hybrid/electric vehicles, with Ford now announcing its next gen Mustang, F150, etc will be electric and an Autonomous electric car for use by Uber and ride share company's etc, by 2025 fuel burners will be on the slide to the scrappy. Car ownership is rapidly becoming unfashionable, youngsters cant get insured and a lot of them are not interested in the hassle of keeping an old car on the road so if they do get a car its on lease so they can chop it in for a new one when they change up to the latest I Phone. If you live in a big city like London, its either the tube or Uber these days. ( i believe some of the Northern villages still have trams...how quaint ) https://electrek.co/2017/01/03/ford-new-electric-cars/

Tackleberry Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 Simple answer....number plate off, drive past the camera, number plate back on. Capiche.
colr6 Posted January 29, 2017 Report Posted January 29, 2017 Simple answer....number plate off, drive past the camera, number plate back on. Capiche. James Bond saw this coming and had the forethought of revolving number plates. The posh way of avoiding it!
