Sorry to hear this m8 :sad::sad:

I was made redundante last year.

You are entitled to 1 weeks pay for each FULL year you have been there.

Thats the law, except nothing less.

Thats the MINIMUM you are entitled to, if he's a decent boss its at his discretion.

sorry to hear the bad news mate, hope something turns up quick for you and your family

I'm still out of work now having been made redundant for the THIRD time in 18 months

There are no jobs down here, I'm not trained in any skilled professions, tried looking into doing a plumbing course but it costs £4700 to do the course which I don't have!

My old man took redundancy from his work a few weeks ago & finishes this week!

Due to him being in his 60s he won't get another job!

F*ckin pisses me right off!

When my old man got made redundant he got a huge pay out as he had worked for the company for about 12 years. He also got the wagon hw driving for them for next to nothing as a bonus.

Personally i don;t know a lot about it, but i know you should bet a pay out of some description, and not "a drink" cos thats very very illegal.

I'm sure something will come up though mate.....i'd hire you if i had a company!

sorry to hear that

i was made redundant in Dec 2004. was a total nightmare for me as i was registered disabled and in too much pain to find another job. Had my hip op in August 2005, moved from Devon to Surrey in Nov 2005 (still not sure how the hell i managed that) and started my current job in Jan 2006.

i'm a firm believer in things happening for a reason, and i'm sure a better opportunity is just round the corner.

make sure you get everything you're entitled to. i found the job centre were very helpful with advice about the redundancy and then sorting me out with the benefits i was entitled to.

good luck!!

If it was me in your situation mate, I would take the opotunity to do somthing that would bring joy and happyness to others!

I dont know what but it would probably be somthing along a car based forum, for say, I dont know old fords. A place where like minded people can join up completely free of charge and just chat about anything they want from the comfort of there own home!

I think Im on to somthing here!

What about "Skool Of Old Fords"

or

"fords For The Old Skool"

I think they may be a nich in the market here :?

Gutted for you mate  - you need to contact the Citizens Advice Bureau - they will be able to give you any info on what you are entitled to and what to do next.
