cortinamark5 Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 Bought this last year, had some rot issues, but bought myself a welder and had a go, mainly 1 x inner sill, and drivers floor, welding not pretty as never done it before, but its done the job. Past MOT in May 2017 with minor advisories Got some local car shows coming up (Worthing, Angmering, Storrington and Amberely) that I'll be taking it too. Some pics of past cars, Seat Leon Cupra R 1.8 Turbo, Omega 3.0 MV6, Saleen Mustang S281 4.6 V8 and my daily driver, my Chrysler 300C Hemi 5.7 V8 1

colr6 Posted June 2, 2017 Report Posted June 2, 2017 Tidy looking Tina, how most people learn is get the gear and have a go. No harm in trying! 1
cortinamark5 Posted June 3, 2017 Author Report Posted June 3, 2017 One of my favourite things about it, you loose so much character once you re trim. When I 1st put pics up of welding I got quite a kicking from some people on a couple of FB Cortina pages, so much for support from like minded fans, guess you always get idiots where ever you join!!

My own mum mocks my soldering so I refrain from taking up welding so your much braver than I. My first painting attempts I had to ridicule myself because I hadnt joined the forum yet.
