Received a warning light this morning from RP with the alternative LED replacement bulb. Thanks to James for making the effort as he has also done with a few of you re the dash board bulbs. Just to say a massive . THANKYOU ....there are some decent people out there !!

Think we should put the motion through on RPs pic he should have letters after his name.....LED. Cos he's the man to sort them......CHEERS James.

Not 100% sure, still trying to my head round it yet. We must have some modern day sparkies on the forum somewhere ?

It's the resistance figures or lack of that confuse the ecu and bring on bulb failure system although there are bulbs with inbuilt resister in from what I've read so far not very successful. So unless you want to start putting resisters in every circuit then up to press no unless the ecu can be programmed of fooled.

Yes, just be sure to add to your search in Ebay or wherever specific reference to "Canbus or Canbus Error Free" and you should get something compatible. Try stick to a brand name that you can research elsewhere on the net to be sure it is designed correctly for that purpose. Some of the Chinese sellers add the word Canbus when they are just conventional LEDs. So don't jump in at the first ones you see, do a bit of investigating and don't buy the cheapest.

What I'm after is a trailer board with led lights to go on my fiesta

The tow car will be my fiat motor home which has canbus wiring

I know some cars or vans don't like led trailor lights but normally only effect the indicators, so a simple fitting of two resistors one on each indicator circuit before the plug should cure this or on the board itself. But beware the resistors do get hot so be careful where you locate them.
