I guess you'd have had to be blind, deaf and dumb not to have picked this up on the news somewhere yesterday but wow! Huge!

Oh and to all the naysayers who keep spouting about there being no jets on her, there are plenty of legitimate reasons why that is the case at this stage, so personally I prefer just to say :finger: :nerner:

A few of my favourites of the images i have seen thus far, they certainly bring her size into perspective

Certainly wouldn't fancy been an oarsman on that one!!!!

She has hybrid propulsion so no rowing required. Plus, Sadiq Khan won't be able to levy a Lez charge if she goes up the Thames. Though I'd guess she's too big for that anyway

Second photo

The RHIB provided by BAE systems was used as one of the official Naval photographers platforms which I blagged my way onto. Left the hotel at 03:00 and went out to Nab point and circled the carrier a few times before tracking it from the front all the way in.

sometimes the job is good to me

thats me in the black hat

I agree...

i was buzzed by one coming back from Goose Bay in a Hercules and have been near them on many occasions, bloody noisy in a hover, certainly no stealth capability there

Bit outdated now, the F35B will be a force to be reckoned with.

Britain had this terrible habit of binning off good aircraft. Phantom Buccaneers  Jaguars F3 Tornadoes all good potent aircraft that had plenty life left in them.

Im more patriotic than most these day so don't take this wrong way but it just scares me. Seeing the stuff the next war could be fought with, is disturbing. I wish we could go back to swords and bows and arrows. We did rather well at that. Then came gun powder. I bet they were saying "foo king chinese" back then too.
