But be prepared chaps as we always seem to have one or more Dick-less Nob Heads pick fault with our cars... For me I just listen, look interested then ask what Classic Car they have brought today, then before there have chance to answer just tell them to (very politely ) go away That seems to work As far as Essex Boys................. Just what would you be driving today if there was no Ford works at DAGEMHAM........... I'm interested.... Some thing.............. French !

He came over and visited our stand one evening at our 1st display a few years back..... Excellent chap. Stayed for about an hour just chatting he liked the motors on our stand... I'll have you know I'm a refined gentleman, well educated, went to some of the best boarding schools in Yorshire. Well they must have thought we were good as we were persuaded not to leave, may have had something to do with the high steel fences and razor wire surrounding them ! I even attended college, you can google if you wish under the heading ' correctional ' for some reason attending this college never got me anywhere looking for a job ! I've even got letters after my name, ask any policeman and he could give you a list....GBH....TWOC and so on. These letters after my name never helped me to get a job....Do a job yes. Have been out this morning and purchased several records for an insight into the southern lingo from people like Hale and Pace, Chas and Dave so am hoping this will help me to survive you lot. As for nodding and saying eye keep that on the tip of your tongue when your asked is it your round and are you getting the sandwiches in !! Keep this in mind and we should get along famously. It's been on my wish list for some years We're flying in from Denmark, but we've never been to this area before. Do you guys have any suggestions on good places to stay near the NEC ? B&B or similar, perhaps with connections to NEC by train/bus ? Country side would be great. Looking forward to visit the show and meet you at the stand Thanks mk2dk
colr6 Posted September 29, 2017 Report Posted September 29, 2017 I know when I tried booking hotels and the like it was a struggle near to the NEC. Depends on which airport you intend to fly into. Just had a quick Google and there is a train link from Birminham airport direct to the NEC. On the hotel front all I can suggest is go on sites like booking .com and search hotels near NEC. Sorry but that's about as much info I can give you. Hopefully there are some members in the NEC area who can offer a bit more info.
