Not long now chaps...

Yes we are near the .... other clubs :(  :)  and near the door, but that's all for charity ..so that's ok.  I believe the Classic Car Weekly are one of the mags covering the event and we may have a mention in the November issue on sale 8/11/17.. so look out.

I'll bring a Gazebo  3m x3m for you chaps to sit in.. so don't forget your chair..  ( No sofa's )    :):)

Just finishing of our stand bit's and piece's today.. Just have a few jobs to do... refit a one of the heads, manifolds , bonnet , exhaust , seat and change the wheels....  shit .. I best get crack-on  :)

Happy Days

Yeah, getting closer. Had the car detailed yesterday, at least the paint now feels like glass. Got to fit the two front door arm rests and then pretty much good to go i think.

I may remove the wheels for one last polish, my OCD tells me I should, but my normal self is telling the OCD part of me to F off and do one....not sure of the winner yet.

And Ray, it's not the following on here, it when you start seeing us sitting outside your house, and notice tiny cameras appearing in your house, that's when you need to worry about the stalking...

In work today, so just trying to scan in a few old photos and work on a little history sheet for the stand, oh yeah and on ebay ordering some tiny cameras...................:camera:

As I have to trailer the motor, that's the only car park I use..  Best to get there early and have a drive round. The staff there are always friendly and helpful..

For those of you driving your motor there, you may be let into the hall before me  :(

We do have a Stand Set-up Plan, But I'll will sort that out on the day.  :)

What's all this Detailing and Cleaning lark  !!!   Mine will have a few bucket's over the night before...  and a clean when I get there..  :)

My plan is, that unless its raining whilst unloading outside and taking in, it wont need cleaning when I get there

Stephen on the other hand will need another valeting team, having driven it 120 miles through the English winter weather

There is a word for all of this trailer queen malarky.....I think Mark Almond was probably called it once in a while........:queer:

TRAILER QUEEN.........

Does mum know your playing with her lap-top  :)

Over the years with OldSkoolFord . And  I'm proud to say, I've travelled the all round the country flying the flag. And yes , on the back of a trailer for most of it    :):)

( awkward taking all the stand stuff in the boot )

As for Mark Almond... Few of us meet him a while back flying his Japanese Fighter Plan at North Weald airdrome for a Charity Event..  Brought us all coffee's  :)  and a Bun  :)

Seemed a good lad to me.

What have you done.....  !

oh...... sorry I see you spend most of your time Polishing / Detailing  :):):)

Crack on............

Posted

He reels one in................:)

And I don't remember saying Mr Almond wasn't a good lad?

First polish in almost 20 years, just trying to make an effort, don't want our club stand outshone....

As you say, crack on...............

I wouldn't dream of driving my car anywhere, I hate driving cars. I hate driving full stop. If I go anywhere it's in my van or don't go. If I drive car for more than an hour that's me not walking for the rest of the day even modern cars. Just don't get on with them. I love my trailor, it goes where I point it forwards or backwards. Even in the van I don't drive for more than hour & half in one go. Call them trailor queens if you like but my cars and bikes for that matter fly the flag. You hear endless people, I've got one of those just like that at home. What's the point get it out and let people see it if it's so good !

There's me thinking

Col and myself could tie you to our Trailers....  and drive off  :)   Seemed to work for the Romans...   :):)

Could be fun us living in opposite directions, 1 north and one south! ..........that'll teach him to slag trailor queens.

plus he can polish the underneath before I take it off the trailor !
