So gents, how many of you have been to the NEC before, and with the trailer queen thing going on - do almost all cars arrive shrouded in pink fluffy trailers?

This is the third time I've exhibited at the NEC and I've driven each time - about two hours. Previously we've taken some water and stuff and found a quiet space outside to give it a wash down before driving in.

This year I've saved up three months of mud and road grime for an authentic rally style.

Danish, that's the proper way to bring your car to a show, i like it - you have restored my faith in proper old skool ways....trailer queen, what was i thinking.....

Happy to help. I'll look out for your car next weekend.

Mine will be on the Mk3 Cortina Club stand.

Id prefer cake if you can?

Thought the visitors should bring some refreshments to keep us flag flyers going after listening for the umpteenth time how much did that cost to make like that ! Is it for sale ? Is that a std engine ? And so on. Don't get double chocolate chip Paul, watching my figure ya know plus don't want to get all hyper a run amuck.

probably little point in cleaning it Colin, reckon its cleaner now than it will be by the time you get to the NEC, just ready for Biff to clean it for you with a dirty rag and bottles of Evian water from the motorway services, mixed with the road gravel he dropped the rag in, to give you a few swirl marks in the paint for age authenticity

as much as I take the piss, I would rather see that on a stand, or even have that, than the twin cams that are gonna be behind us

are you really driving that loverly beast there

Cheers Ray. Yeah driving her up is the only way this time as i am trailer less. And to be honest, i will enjoy the cruise. Not ideal for this show at this time of year admitted, but only a car at the end of the day and well waxed so won't take much to get any journey dirt off...

And please keep taking the piss...
