Couple of my friend including myself received "genuine" sky store messages today . I received 4 emails within 12 minutes saying i had purchased a few box sets totalling 52 bucks.

Outraged, i clicked on the sky store message and started a live chat with a guy -christopher-who seemed genuine .he was very professional and sounded as though he was in an office. I could hear sky sports in the background. After a few minutes the questions seemed like he was phishing so I hung up.

Anyway I was a bit spooked by this. So checked my on line bill and contacted sky. Turns out some scammer has done a very clever job on pretending to be sky. The emails are not genuine with the guy after your card details.

Be careful out there

I get scammed by Sky every goddamn month!

They take a shed load of money from my account and in return supply shonky slow broadband and, "40 channels of shit on the TV to choose from" (who sees what I did there? ?)

I keep telling myself I must leave but I don hear great feedback about the other options out there either.

Oh, and thanks for the warning.

we left sky last year, as you say, was about £80 a month, we didn't have sports or movies either, for slow broadband and the same programs you were watching 15 years ago, bought a Humax freesat recorder for £230, tbh that the naffiest part, still hate the way it operates tbh, got to look for a better make, but if your not a movie or sport person, then freesat is fine, the wives can watch all the soap shit they like while you play with the cars, and broadband now supplied by BT, saving a fortune tbh

its easy to test the waters scott, buy a freesat receiver only for £30, see if you like it before dumping sky, if you don't, all you've lost is £30, sell it at the boot sale or put it in the garage to watch while doing the car
