Been buying bits as they come up, bought a dry sump system, some twin 40 dcoes (need a inlet now!), nice c&t rocker cover which I’ve welded up for the dry sump, I’ll get it blasted then wrinkle finish and then machine the top again

I like the look of that very much, except I'm not too keen on the black pin stripe, maybe if there was less it'd be better but that's just my taste, many don't like what I done to mine so I can't talk 😂😂

I’m going to repaint it anyway so orange and black pinstripes are going!

I did speak to the previous owner and it used to have a twin cam in it!

Also received the V5 last week and only 2 previous owners not bad for a 1960 car

Bought some twin 40 alloy inlet manifolds today which are the separate type but seeing that people have said there are issues with vibration between the two I’m going to weld them together once they are bolted on the head which should solve that issue

so now have twin 40 dcoe or Dellorto 40s need to check the jets in each set

ported and polished cylinder head

full dry sump system

toothed belt water pump/ alternator drive kit

rebuilt bottom end but unsure what cam is in it as yet

Aldon dizzy

I’m still looking for a gear drive kit for the camshaft if anyone knows of one?

Really need to get some evenings on the Anglia the next few weeks

Pulled the engine out and was hoping for nice bits to appear as in fast road cam etc but apart from lightened flywheel and Ap clutch that was it! No stamps on cam, no duplex timing chain

ive been offered a 1600 xflow bottom end with some flat top pistons (yes I know it shouldn’t have flat tops), so will build that with my head etc

Ill keep stripping the car boxing bits up then then can get on with welding

I'm curious - why Dry Sump a road car? What benefit do you gain?

Same. Unless you're planning heavy track use, there aren't really any benefits...... And it's costly.
