By chance I saw a local restoration team had a red Mexico in their work shop. As you will see in the photos the reg numbers are very close to each other and most probably sat in the same dealership at the same time. 

I asked if I could bring top Banana for a meet and great and some pics, the guys said yes, which was great. 

When I got there today another class mate, an RS1600 was sat outside too to make a great line up of AVO’s finest. 

Well chuffed as sister Mex had come down from up country so may never see it again. Clocked the chassis number and it’s within 20 of mine. For sure they were at Aveley together.

Also bought some much needed bits for mine as I was pointing saying “I’m missing that” to which the restoration chap replied “ I’ve got one of those” .

Sadly I did not ask. I was too interested in the Mex. The RS1600 had arrived that day and he was having issues getting it going, but when it did what a noise ...... nice 👍🏻
