Rich T Posted October 21, 2019 Author Report Posted October 21, 2019 All new fuel lines from the tank throughout. Silver top pump in the boot and filter king filter/regulator in the engine bay. Now, original 1300gt engine will be with the car but not fitted. Its now fitted with a fresh built 1600 engine with twin 40 dellortos. Also fitted it an Ashley 2 inch, twin box exhaust with 4 branch manifold (brand new). Manifold been wrapped with titanium exhaust wrap. The flywheel has had new ring gear then sent to the engineer shop to be refaced and balanced with a new 3 piece clutch. Interior... It was in a bad (tan colour)way when i got it so have made a good start with that. New(old) parcel shelf and rear 1/4 cards fitted in black. Managed to find original beta cloth rear seat cover for it also. Looks in very good shape Front door cards new black and a good fit. Front seats are MK2 Fishnet Recaros. In brown. Nice seats but need re covering to match. New set of window rubbers. Side 1/4 rubbers have been fitted as was the front screen(new front screen also). Rear screen rubber not fitted as yet as the glass has gone misty in places so have been keeping an eye out for a new one. Also removed the original 12in wheels as they didnt look great and the tyres were knackered. Got hold of a set of very good Mexico steelies. Had them shot blasted and painted in stardust silver. Black inserts also painted, not stickers. Fitted with 4 brand new Marshall tyres. Spare still needs a tyre but painted and ready to go. More to come.... Edit. Spare wheel now has brand new matching tyre

Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted October 21, 2019 Moderator Report Posted October 21, 2019 Is that the last of your OSFs Rich? We would hate to see you go!
Rich T Posted October 21, 2019 Author Report Posted October 21, 2019 It is but i dont plan on going anywhere . Looks like ive got a rough couple of months ahead and the money would be a safety net for my mortgage. If it doesnt sell I'll have to find another way. If it does sell I'd like a 100E next.

Im glad you wont leave us. I do like your square headlight Mk1 though. Can 100E's be found for reasonable prices at the moment? I think the best value in OSFs right now are Mk2 Cortinas. You get some great ones for little dollars. The wont be low for long though I think they will be the next price boom in the OSF market. 1
Monza Posted October 21, 2019 Report Posted October 21, 2019 Feel for you m8. Selling the mk1 would be a last resort for me but more important to keep the roof over your head.Always get another classic when the time is right.Looks like a lovely car m8 tbf. Sure it'll sellSent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk 1
Rich T Posted October 21, 2019 Author Report Posted October 21, 2019 RP As much as i like cortinas, i already know 2 people that have them and i like to be different lol Monza. Unfortunately i dont have any other options. Im not desperate to sell, just putting it out there. I think if im going to lose my job I'll know within a month or so. Once i know, that'll be the deciding factor. Cheers
Rich T Posted October 22, 2019 Author Report Posted October 22, 2019 Ok, last but not least. The car was a left hand drive now converted to right hand drive. Myself and a few friends did the conversation. Each of us with 25+ years experience as mechanics. The original dash hole for the clocks was welded up and a hole cut on the offside. A new clock support bracket welded in also. Original rhd parts fitted... steering column and associated cowling. Under dash loom. Clock set (yes, there is a difference) centre switch cowling, wiper motor and mechanism. All old holes for column, cables etc welded up. New holes. Measurements taken from a recently shot blasted rs shell and are spot on. I'm very happy with how the car is and was built to keep. If it doesnt sell then for now, thats fine too (for now). Open to sensible offers. Will try and get some decent pix over the weekend. If anyone wants specific shots, let me know. Rich
