I didn't realise you had hurricanes there or is this a very rare occurrence?
katana Posted February 10, 2020 Report Posted February 10, 2020 We don't get 'cyclones' in the Northern Hemisphere - they are all yours ! This is just a v. bad storm, real low pressure. Apparently the worst since 2013! Must be, as its bent three of our daffodils over! 1
RWL81P Posted February 10, 2020 Author Report Posted February 10, 2020 only a bit of wind and rain! most of the flooding is due to our victorian drainage not being designed for an extra 20m people, and not being cleaned out properly and full of silt. the councils technical term is climate change! 2

We have one at the moment Damien or something, (I thought they normally named them after women?) After the fires we have been having rains and storms this week. Its been so dry and firey that people think being flooded out is a pleasant refreshment as we needed the water. My fence has gone as well. So was thinking of trading some wooden paling for some panels with Dale @dt36?

Will have to fit them after work today and get another 2 delivered on the weekend. In fairness, mine are now around 12 years old, so they've had a good run. Mad thing is we've been in Dubai all last week and then came home Saturday to this. I've got an early start tomorrow to go to Lyneham and now we've got snow coming in tonight 😂.

Thats brand new! I guess then I cant trade you some newish panels for 40 yo rotten palings then? 1
