caprimk1v4 Posted February 28, 2020 Report Posted February 28, 2020 Got to agree with Vista on this, if your thinking of any sort of nice electrical accessories, such as a nice radio, maybe some spot/fog lamps or, even if you where to upgrade your rear window to a heated rear screen, then the 22 amp standard dynamo isn't going to cut it. Very easy/simple conversion, 98% of it bolt on, and just some very easy to sort electrical bits to do, like joining about 4 wires together, and maybe extend one or two, me and a load of people on here will take you through it, about 2 hours work tops, and it can always be returned to factory spec if you so wanted to at any time.
HotRodMatt Posted February 28, 2020 Report Posted February 28, 2020 You can get alternators which look like dynamos, so best of both worlds, if you really want an original appearance but modern performance.https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/mobile/product_list/197 1 1

The car is totally standard only done 14k so I want to keep it original as poss The only reason I want rear window seals is that one of the opening quarter lights broke and i dont think i will get a replacement.

caprimk1v4 Posted February 29, 2020 Report Posted February 29, 2020 I will have a look to see if I have one with the extended rod on the back of the cylinder.
caprimk1v4 Posted March 3, 2020 Report Posted March 3, 2020 Hi, Had a look in my boxes, and I only have a .75 Girling Master cylinder for a car with servo, so I don't have the one with the extension rod on the rear, sorry. Regards. Al.
caprimk1v4 Posted March 4, 2020 Report Posted March 4, 2020 Hi, Found today a brand new Girling Master Cylinder with extension rod, it is a .70 bore size, and as new with fluid reservoir & cap. 1
