Been looking through a 1993 copy of Fast Ford magazine and decided to check out the Ads page for prices back then.

I was driving a Cavalier SRI in 93, living in Germany.  I was about to buy a  LHD 2.3 S Capri (German) as a second car for about £150 around the same time, but got my posting order back to the UK so left it.  Hindsight was not my strongpoint... :-)

Excellent, my first rs2000 mk2 in Germany in 1984 cost me the equivalent of about 1200 squid!, sold it and bought the first xr3i in Germany for the princely duty free price of 4400 squid fully loaded! Happy days!

Woh, that purple RS2000 cover car has not aged well!

Looks like it's still about. MOT'd until 2021.

Yes and if you Google the numberplate, it has competed in a few rallies recently.

Cheers Vista.  Just Googled it and have to say that Crowley Motorsport have done a real life Car SOS on bringing the car back to its roots.
