Help me ID this axle

Out of curiousity, can anyone tell me what car this axle might be from. It's 48.5" wide, has 8" drums and single piston wheel cylinders. I don't recognise the handbrake mechanism.

My Dad has had this axle in his spares pile for the last 35 years, he think it might be from a Corsair, but can't be sure!

looks mk1 escort to me, up to nov 73, as theres no ARB brackets

Early Escort, as said no ARB mount but def Escort handbrake mech corsair and cortina different to that
