CéDriC Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 2 doors, although Hux's & this 4 door do look the balerics! Right, a 2 doors can look horrible, and a 4 doors stunning...
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 What's the obsession with OSF vans? Yeah I know I've got one, but rear visibility is so bad, it's like driving a saloon in a neckbrace wearing an anorak with the (snorkel) hood up. Try turning round and seeing what's next to you while changing lanes on the motorway.
Messenjah Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 i said estate because ive got a capri but would like to be able to take my m8s places in more comfort ... so would love an mk1 or mk2 estate 4 door ! and i willl have one at some point in the future

Noodles Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Mk1 and Mk2 Escort Estates are 2 doors in a way
School boy1 Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 I like 2 and 4 the same. Vans are cool, I havnt made my mind up on estates.
Andy504 Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Estate and it's a 2 door estates rule but i may be bias
Noodles Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Estates are different, its wierd why did the estates only have 2 side doors
105Nick Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 2 door for me I'm afraid, I'd love a Mk1 Mex!
ribbit Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 id have a 4 door any day of the week or any day of all time actually but i pressed 2 door by mistake...im sorry
Johnson Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 i do like 2 doors , but vans are that little bit cooler (imo)
School boy1 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Has anyone done a beefed up estate before? I think it would look quite cool with buble arches and sporty stuff. Ideal to go to Le Mans in as well.
allanmex Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 2 doors, although Hux's & this 4 door do look the balerics! i would normally say 2 door, but that gold 4 door looks the absolute nuts
School boy1 Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Did the square lights on the Mk 2 come before the round ones?
Nettles Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Square lights were fitted as standard to the higher end of the range such as GL's and Ghia's. Round lights were considered cheaper and therefore fitted to the more basic models. When all my mates and I drove MK1 & 2 Escorts back in the early 1990's it was so uncool to have square lights. Everybody wanted round lights to give a sportier look. So it was a quick trip down to the local breakers to pick up a pair of lights, a front grille and as many small spare parts as you could fit in your pockets and you would still have change out of a twenty! Damn I feel old now.
antz Posted March 9, 2007 Author Report Posted March 9, 2007 its weird that the round lights were the bargain bin ones yet they are more saught after i prefer square
Nettles Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Hey Antz, Check out the photo’s my bro posted in “1991” in the blast from the past section. There are some photos of my old MK2 with rounds and squares fitted.
Jimsiss Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 2 door, then a van, then 4 door, then the estate I always preffered a nice RS 2 door.....something like a mk2 mexico...I'm not biased at all
antz Posted March 10, 2007 Author Report Posted March 10, 2007 what about rhe 4 door rs2k they did in OZ?
ribbit Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 come on people weres the four door love? four doors rule
School boy1 Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 Ok, I declaire that I love the 4 doors.
Gonzo Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 I'd take a van over anything else cuz they're practical for what i'd use em for.
