I am surprised you didn't get the "Why Don't You Teach Your Grandmother" comment, or how about "I Was Driving These Before You Were Even Thought Of Son!"

Yes, I know, I have been there

Your 16e will be fine mate, don't worry. I am sure that is the fathers job, to irritate the hell out of their son.:lol:

i had that problem when i bought the mk1, i had to work so i asked my dad to pick it up. then i told him to be carefull and i get this.

"I used to have a lotus years ago i know what im doing"

so he goes off on his merry way with a friend of mine a couple of hours pass and they come into work to show it off, so i stupidly asked how did it go when my friend tells me how my dad nearly crashed the car into a brand new merc saloon as he left it to the last minute to brake.

since then he has only driven the car twice and even then i had to sit with him to tell him what to do and keep an eye on him!
