Tia You'll have to relocated the gearstick hole (mimic how factory did the RS2000's - with a chain saw if you go by appearances LOL) OR reduce the length of the linkage tailshaft, and need a slightly reduced length prop as the 5th gear makes the box about 25-30mm longer (although weirdly about the same length as a RS Type E box!) And doing g/box swaps is better with Mary Jane! 1

I have a type 9 on the end of a crossflow in my SA 1600 Sport, it was done in SA , and I'm pretty certain the gear lever hole was made with a hatchet 😬 I've redone it properly , the handbrake lever will need to be persuaded to one side to stop it getting tangled up with the gear stick.
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted May 23, 2023 Moderator Report Posted May 23, 2023 I wonder if the Australian Type E Extension housings would fit a Type 9? Are the extension housing mountings the same?
