KJ 1320 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Nice one Jo get those easy miles clocked up quick before you thrash the nads off it!!
Jay_harrier Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 very nice, so what's the final spec fo the engine? are you keeping open bellmouths? a nice carbon or alloy cold air box would set it off a treat & keep debris out
Admin Mk2Jo Posted March 16, 2007 Author Admin Report Posted March 16, 2007 Nice one Jo get those easy miles clocked up quick before you thrash the nads off it!! Thanks Kev ... I'll try but it aint easy as you know Jay ..... Final spec is Ashton Mobile Special set up (not even I know ) and yes, keeping the carbs open although it is a bit of a worry with the grit/foreign body element and I am concerned that if I pass too close to a school on my way into work in the morning the 48's may suck up a small child as I go past Seriously though - at the moment they are staying naked
escortmad79 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 How about trumpt socks or those mesh covers if they do them for 48s?
Jay_harrier Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 Longer term a cold air feed from the front of the car will give you more power especially in warmer weather. You can also get some weird inlet pulsing/reflections off the inner wings - found this out the hard way but mainly affects engines with big revs.
escortmad79 Posted March 18, 2007 Report Posted March 18, 2007 Jo, your car is sooooo noisy! It was like a plane taking off when you started it up in the petrol station
