Type-9 quick shifts - non rattle

Hi all

I know this has been asked many times over the years, but wanted to get a fresh opinion from anyone who has recently bought a Type-9 quick shift that doesn't rattle.

Mine does - from memory I think it was the Quaife one (cant remember TBH) , at certain speeds and its so annoying, but what's new to the market that people have bought that doesn't rattle.

Didn't buy a new one but I bought the thickest goopyist heaviest stickiest grease the local Plant supplies shop had, and filled the tail section with a full tube. Refitted the shifter. No more rattles.

You can buy a lever rose joint type bearing with a nylon insert put in but I would just get the standard type lever and  get the oldskool type kit as they are quiet and wont do your tits in

Probably Burtons or even Ebay as the Kit Car guys love the type 9 so there are a few on the market

i had used it , but any good quick change? NO Maybe it is me who's shifting. But with a short lever on standard i can shift as quick.

On public road it is useless.

Cheers, what was the throw like? Still a short throw or close to standard?
