EmmaOrbit Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 Now Then - We recently went to Cornwall a couple of weekends ago to visit Em's Sis and her bloke While we were there we bought some cheese - They live in Carnon Downs Nr Truro and .... well we bought this cheese and it was the the round ones!! But I tried to get some up here ( Hampshire) and well it aint anywhere and no one has heard of it . We bought it in a Spar in and its called Menallack Vintage Cheese. If anyone can be arsed to have a look next time there in a shop and can remember to bring some to the meet then theres a hot chocolate in it for ye....... Let me know though cos I dont want 10 peeps turning up with pockets full of cheese!! Cheers BIGKEV

Admin Vista Posted March 13, 2007 Admin Report Posted March 13, 2007 mmmmmm cheese, I spent 9 months as a site engineer while they were building the new Cheese factory alongside the old one at Davidstow Davidstow extra mature cheddar yum! They'd sell it to us in enormous blocks for about £3! I'll keep an eye out for your cheese, but if you want an eye wateringly good selection of local cheeses you need to go to Tavistock, there's a superb selection in a small shop near Tavistock market. Oh and try some Yarg will you're down here, another great West country cheese Bugger I'm hungry now................... P.S.
